ages 13 and up. Intermediate/Advanced 3 or more years of experience Centered around the principles of release technique, this class begins by building a connection to the floor. Progressing to traveling exercises and a final combination, dancers will spiral, glide, and leap while exploring safe and efficient pathways utilizing the floor. |
11-12pm Afrofusion w/ Brianna Rhodes
ages 10 and up. All levels welcome A fusion of social dance styles created by Black people across the globe. A fun and free experience to shine through individuality! Come with an open mind and ready to sweat and move. This class is not geared towards perfection, only freedom of expression and movement. |
12-1pm Int/Adv Hip Hop w/ Camryn Nease
ages 16 and up. Intermediate/Advanced 3 or more years of experience Come groove and learn a fun combo geared toward intermediate and advanced dancers! We will do a short warmup, then dive into some choreo! Bring an open heart, mind, and all of the vocal encouragement you have! |
2-3pm Move to the Groove of the World w/ Pam from Columbus Fit Life Corp
ages 10 and up. All levels welcome Dance to amazing rhythms from around the world; You will fall in love with music that speaks to your soul and heart. Easy to follow moves, no previous dance experience is needed. Expect to have FUN Dancing Together. |
10-11am Social Ballroom Dancing w/ Patty Petecca
ages 10 and up. All levels welcome Basic social ballroom dances, including: Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rhumba, Swing and Electric Slide. Learn to lead, follow and recognize the music. Great fun way to gain confidence for grade school dances, homecomings, proms and weddings. |
11-12pm Intro to Indian Classical Dances w/ Natya Nirvana
ages 10 and up. All levels welcome A technical rhythmic class that introduces participants to two of the eight Classical forms from India. A brief history, evolution will be discussed and participants will dance barefoot and learn short routines. |
12-1pm Mental Health and Movement w/ Ellie Mental Health
ages 10 and up. Experience is not a factor in enjoying this class/seminar Insight into our own internal world is one of the most important attributes for success. Join us for a quick trip down internal neuropathways and learn skills and strategies to improve motivation and positivity. |
1-2pm Nia Dance w/ Christopher Lee Jansen from the New Albany Country Club
ages 10 and up. All levels welcome Nia is a mindful dance fitness practice that combines dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. It is a holistic movement and wellness practice. Nia classes are suitable for every body; no experience necessary. |
2-3pm Choreocody-Jazz Funk w/ CHOREOCODY, INC
ages 13 and up. Intermediate 3 to 5 years of experience A multidisciplinary training experience focused on rebuilding and strengthening dancers' foundations and performance quality. My style blends jazz, hip-hop, and street theatre to create a comfortable mix of technique and fun. |
2-3pm Bridging the Gap from Therapy to Class: Physical Therapy for Dancers w/ Aimee Heslop from Nationwide Children's Hospital
ages 13 and up. All levels welcome This presentation summarizes rehab considerations and barriers in the dance world. It allows for dancers, medical providers, and dance educators to collaborate and optimize the health and well-being of the artist to allow for smooth transition from clinic to stage. |
3-4pm Movement for Adults Over 50 w/ Perennial Movement Group
ages 50 and up. All levels welcome Workshop attendees will participate in a movement class designed for adults over 50. Movement activities will spring from contemporary dance and improvisation tradition, with an emphasis on the development of individual artistry alongside group awareness. Seated and standing dance are welcome. |

8-9am Children's Polynesian w/ Mahana Productions
ages 5 and above. All levels welcome Our children's and adult's class will consist of basic hula and Tahitian steps then detailed instruction for choreography. The children's class will be “We Know the Way” from the movie “Moana”. 9-10am Adult Polynesian w/ Mahana Productions ages 10 and up. ages 10 and up. Intermediate/Advanced 3 or more years of experience Safely increase your range of motion and use it with full control. Dancers will discover mobilization techniques and massage points to safely increase flexibility, maximize turnout, and find more freedom in their movement. Stability exercises will help to find control in dancer's full range of motion. |
